HVAC Lead Installation Technician

Custom Aire Inc. is a family-owned, residential, commercial, and industrial HVAC contractor offering top quality end-to-end service for our customers, from design to completion in Philadelphia, Bucks, Montgomery, and surrounding communities for over 55 years. We specialize in solutions for all residential, commercial, and industrial homes and facilities.

Work Hours: Monday through Friday, 7:30am to 3:30pm, overtime as needed

Duties:

1. Install heating, ventilation, and cooling units for both residential and commercial customers.
2. Travel to job sites in the service area, and work with the install coordinator to ensure schedule is maintained and delays are properly communicated to the customer.
3. Be available to work occasional nights or weekends.
4. Maintain good working order of company vehicle including refueling as necessary, reporting any mechanical issues, and filling out and submitting monthly vehicle inspection form.
5. Maintain proper stock, parts, tools, and safety equipment in the vehicle.
6. Obtain payment and customer signature at completion of job.
7. Obtain correct customer information including email address.
8. Document all installed equipment upon completion: make, model, serial number, type of fuel, necessary test measurements, and pictures as necessary.
9. Participate in company-provided training opportunities on the latest industry technologies.
10. Identify and report to property owner potential opportunities for additional business (service contracts and additional services).
11. Provide superb customer service.
12. Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

1. High school diploma or equivalent
2. Valid driver's license & insurable driving record
3. Pass background check & drug screen
4. 5+ years of HVAC Installation Technician Experience / 2+ years of Lead HVAC Installation Technician Experience
5. Knowledge of Residential and Light Commercial Forced Air Oil/Gas/Heat pump and Hydronic Boilers required
6. EPA Universal Certification
7. Ability to read and interpret wiring diagrams
8. Excellent customer service and communication skills
9. Willingness to attend training classes and seminars
10. Willingness to work extra hours if demand requires it
11. Knowledge of basic sheet metal practices
