Job summary

Air Comfort Service Group is seeking a skilled HVAC Lead Install Technician for the West Babylon, NY area. This full-time role involves leading on-site installation efforts for commercial projects, coordinating with teams and ensuring adherence to safety and quality standards.

You will install, test and commission HVAC systems, communicate findings clearly, and deliver exceptional customer service while working in the field. Experience with various system types and brands is preferred.

Qualifications

• Five+ years of HVAC service and troubleshooting experience.
• Strong knowledge of commercial and residential HVAC systems.
• EPA Certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Install refrigerant piping, ductwork, condensate drainage, controls and related HVAC components.
• Brazing, pressure testing, evacuation, charging and commissioning to manufacturer specs.
• Troubleshoot installation issues to ensure safe, efficient operation.
• Maintain accurate service documentation and communicate findings clearly.
• Deliver outstanding customer service while working independently in the field.

HVAC Lead Install Technician

Full-Time - Office in West Babylon, NY - Service Territory Greater NY Area
Monday-Friday

On-Call Rotation

HVAC Lead Install Technician is responsible for providing high-quality heating, ventilation, air-conditioning installation services to commercial construction customers. This role requires strong technical expertise, professionalism, and the ability to provide exceptional customer service while representing the company on-site.

What You'll Do

• Installation of refrigerant piping, ductwork, condensate drainage systems, controls, and related HVAC components.
• Brazing, pressure testing, evacuation, charging refrigerant systems, and commissioning equipment to manufacturer specifications.
• Extensive knowledge of HVAC equipment, including split systems, VRF/VRV systems, water-source heat pumps, PTAC units, rooftop units, fan coil units, and ventilation systems
• Ability to troubleshoot installation issues and ensure systems operate efficiently and safely.
• Maintain accurate service documentation and communicate findings clearly
• Deliver outstanding customer service while working independently in the field

What You Bring

• Minimum of five (5) years of HVAC service and troubleshooting experience
  Strong working knowledge of commercial and residential HVAC systems
  Experience with AAON, Mitsubishi, Daikin, and LG systems preferred
• Strong communication and customer service skills
  Valid, clean driver's license required
• EPA Certification preferred
