Job summary

Pioneers in Orlando, FL is seeking a Facilities Technician III to support the operation, maintenance, and reliability of campus facilities and infrastructure. You will serve as a lead technician for designated building systems, including HVAC, reporting to the Facilities Manager.

The role performs skilled maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, and preventive maintenance to ensure a safe, efficient campus environment.

Qualifications

• Must hold and maintain EPA certifications/licenses for working with commercial refrigerants.
• 3–5 years hands-on HVAC experience.
• Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record.
• Strong documentation and CMMS record-keeping.

Responsibilities

• In conjunction with the Facilities Manager, develop, implement, maintain, and continuously improve documented preventive maintenance plans for all HVAC systems across the campus.
• Help develop and execute facility maintenance strategies to preserve assets and infrastructure.
• Provide leadership and direction to maintenance staff as needed, particularly when Team Leaders are offsite.
• Assist with coordinating and overseeing contractors and vendors performing maintenance and facility-related projects to ensure work is completed safely and to specs.
• Maintain accurate records of HVAC maintenance activities, inspections, repairs, equipment performance, and regulatory compliance requirements.
• Support the Facilities Manager in maintaining service records for vehicles and equipment.
• Perform maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, and management of all HVAC systems and controls campus-wide.
• Monitor system performance and recommend upgrades or energy-efficiency improvements as appropriate.
• Respond to HVAC service requests and emergencies promptly to minimize disruption.
• Ensure all HVAC work complies with safety regulations and codes.
