Job summary

Johnson Controls is seeking an on-site project leader to plan, execute, and complete control systems projects with assigned customers. You will handle hardware design, system programming, installation coordination, and commissioning while managing project costs and schedules.

The role requires six years of related field experience in HVAC/Controls, ability to communicate technical material to a non-technical audience, and a strong focus on safety, ethics, and profitability.

Qualifications

• 6 years of related field experience in the HVAC/Controls industry or Building Automation Systems with System Design or System Engineering or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Relevant hands-on experience in systems design and commissioning of digital HVAC controls systems.
• Ability to communicate technical material to a non-technical audience.
• Demonstrated ability to perform work independently.
• Strong personal computer skills.
• Knowledge of control theory and HVAC systems.

Responsibilities

• Plan, execute, and complete control systems projects with assigned customers.
• Handle hardware design, system programming, installation coordination, system and network commissioning, and project closeout.
• Manage overall financial results of assigned projects including costs, billings, and collections.
• Balance customer satisfaction with project financial results and pursue change orders.
• Coordinate communication with the customer during all phases and ensure warranty execution.
• Provide coaching and technical assistance to staff and subcontractors.
