Job summary
Pickett and Associates, LLC, an ESP Company, seeks a Lead Engineer to provide senior engineering leadership on complex HV/EHV transmission design projects. You will guide line routing, structure design, procurement, and permit activities while ensuring client requirements, quality, and schedule adherence.
The role calls for PE certification, 10+ years of experience in transmission line engineering, and strong PM skills.
Qualifications
- PE certification is required for this leadership role.
- 10+ years of transmission line engineering experience in the electric utility industry.
- Extensive experience using PLS-CADD.
- Strong knowledge of design codes and standards (NESC, IEEE, ASCE, ACI).
- Experience liaising with substation, environmental, real estate, construction, and maintenance teams.
- Proven project management skills and ability to lead a team.
Responsibilities
- Supervise a team of engineers, technicians, and drafters.
- Communicate clear expectations, goals and vision.
- Manage performance and delegate project work.
- Motivate, coach and mentor team members.
- Manage projects ensuring quality and on-time delivery.
- Review and approve engineering design submittals.
- Develop lasting client relationships.
- Estimate projects and develop proposals.
