Job summary

Form Energy is seeking an Associate Engineering Manager for LV & HV harness design to lead a team of engineers responsible for harness development from concept to production launch.

You will drive cross‑functional collaboration across engineering, program management, supply chain, and manufacturing to deliver high‑quality, scalable cable and harness solutions for long‑duration energy storage products.

Qualifications

• Minimum 7 years of harness design experience in HV automotive products.
• At least 2 years of people management experience.
• Knowledge of battery systems, HV/LV distribution, EMC strategies, CAN, LIN and Ethernet.
• Proficiency in Zuken E3, SolidWorks, or equivalent design software.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; ability to organize, motivate, and lead dispersed teams.
• Strong mechanical and electrical fundamentals with a first‑principles mindset.
• Ability to handle multiple priorities and meet tight delivery timelines.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership, functional management, and technical direction to a team of electromechanical engineers.
• Hire, train and manage mechanical and electrical engineers, including FTEs, contractors, and outside consultants.
• Manage cable and harness design activities across multiple programs for Form's long-duration energy storage products.
• Deliver accurate project plans and schedules and work cross-functionally with engineering, program management, supply chain, and manufacturing teams.
• Establish engineering processes, best practices, design guidelines, and tools for repeatable, high-quality deliverables.
• Support department growth through mentoring, coaching, and technical guidance.
• Conduct root cause investigations and implement corrective actions for cable and harness design and production issues.
• Travel 10‑20% to Form manufacturing sites to support build activities, debugging, reworks, and DFM/DFA improvements.
