Job summary

State of South Carolina's SCDNR Law Enforcement Division seeks a capable leader to oversee Hunter and Boater Education Programs and to serve as the Division's Media/PIO liaison. The role emphasizes day-to-day leadership, administration, and supervision of education and outreach initiatives.

You will develop outreach strategies, ensure communications align with policy and laws, and manage assets, budgets, and training resources for education programs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree plus 3 years of SCDNR Class 1 law enforcement supervisory experience; related law enforcement experience may substitute for degree.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day leadership, administration, and supervision of the division's education and outreach programs (Hunter Education, Boater Education, Take One Make One, SCDNR Shooting Ranges).
• Develop and maintain relationships with individuals and organizations with intersecting interests.
• Act as Law Enforcement Media/PIO liaison, monitor issues and public information needs.
