Job summary

Kiawah Island Golf Resort on Kiawah Island, SC seeks a Housekeeping Supervisor to lead the daily operations of the Housekeeping Department and ensure top cleanliness standards. This on-site role requires strong teamwork, communication, and a proactive approach to guest satisfaction.

The supervisor will manage room attendants, use the radio and RGuest Service tablet for task coordination, and uphold OSHA safety guidelines while fostering a collaborative, efficient work environment.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
• One year supervisory/management experience preferred.
• Must work both independently and in a team environment.
• Good to excellent communication skills in English both verbal and written.
• Ability to compute basic mathematical calculations required.
• Must be able to pass a background check.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for the daily ownership and operational execution of the Housekeeping Department.
• Directs and ensures completion of all housekeeping tasks assigned to room attendants and house persons while maintaining high cleanliness standards.
• Utilize the radio system and RGuest Service via a tablet to accept requests and pass information to room attendants and receive updates from other departments.
• Assist guests as needed and work in a strong, team environment.
• Maintain timeliness of customer needs outlined in Pre-Shift and promote skills and abilities for a positive outcome in challenging environments.
• Establishes and maintains a safe working environment per OSHA regulations to protect employees and coworkers.
• Follow directions and perform tasks with attention to detail, speed, accuracy, and follow-through.
• Work well as part of a team; set up and organize workstation with supplies and equipment; replenish as needed during shift.
• Report faulty equipment, linen shortages, maintenance needs, safety hazards and other problems to the manager on duty immediately.
• Motivate by example on the production floor or in classroom settings.
• Restock work areas for the next shift and uphold resort values and policies.
• All other duties as assigned.
