Apple Rehab Farmington Valley is seeking a Housekeeping/Laundry Assistant Supervisor to support our residents and maintain high cleanliness standards. You will oversee laundry operations, sort and wash linens, and ensure a safe, organized work environment within the facility.

The role requires ability to lift 40 pounds, follow infection control protocols, and work as part of a dedicated team to provide compassionate care in a long-term care setting.

Qualifications

• Ability to read labels and follow oral and written instructions in English.
• Demonstrates cooperation and ability to work as a team.
• Patience, tact, enthusiasm and a positive attitude toward residents.
• Ability to stay calm in stressful situations.
• Ability to lift and carry laundry bags of approximately 40 pounds and move supplies.

Responsibilities

• Provides quality laundry services to all facility residents.
• Operates laundry equipment and processes linens and clothing.
• Maintains a clean, orderly work area and department.
• Maintains adequate supply of linens and supplies.
• Inspects linen and replaces worn items as needed.
• Sets up laundry carts with supplies for distribution to residents.
• Adheres to infection control protocols and safety procedures.
• Performs thorough cleaning in assigned areas according to schedules.
