Job summary

Apple Rehab Middletown is seeking a dedicated Housekeeping Aide to keep a clean, safe, and organized environment for residents and staff in our 70-bed skilled nursing facility in Middletown, CT. You will follow infection control protocols and safety guidelines while performing cleaning tasks.

Ideal candidates read labels in English, stay composed under pressure, and work well with teammates to coordinate duties and inventory needs. Prior healthcare or long-term care experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Proficient reading of labels and following English instructions.
• Ability to stay calm and act appropriately under pressure.
• Ability to discern cleanliness needs and infection-control cues.
• Good spatial awareness and attention to detail in a healthcare setting.

Responsibilities

• Perform thorough cleaning in resident rooms and common areas.
• Adhere to infection-control protocols and safety guidelines.
• Coordinate tasks with other staff to minimize disruption to residents.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of work areas and supplies.
• Monitor and replenish housekeeping supplies as needed.
