Kana Hotel Group is seeking a detail-oriented Housekeeping Supervisor at our Knoxville property. You will supervise housekeeping and laundry staff, schedule according to occupancy, and manage contract labor and equipment needs to ensure peak guestroom cleanliness.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum of 4 years’ experience in all aspects of Housekeeping in a large, multi-use facility required.
• Minimum of 2 years supervisory experience
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Must be flexible with working nights, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Supervise housekeeping and laundry staff: hire, termination, discipline, evaluations, training and development.
• Schedule staff according to labor standards and forecasted occupancy; assign daily boards to housekeeping team members.
• Manage contract labor relationships and training for contract labor positions.
• Evaluate equipment and coordinate repairs or replacements with other managers.
• Assist General Manager in development of the department's annual budget; monitor performance against plan.
• Maintain room quality and cleanliness across rooms, storage, laundry, restrooms and public areas; ensure rooms are vacant and ready.
• Compile and report status of guest rooms to front office.
• Oversee all housekeeping duties.
• Maintain productivity and labor cost goals.
• Establish cost control systems for staffing, linen inventories, and cleaning supplies.
• Conduct inventories of linen, supplies and equipment; order and receive supplies.
• Ensure quality services and guest satisfaction; prepare for audits and implement improvements.
