Job summary

Kana Hotel Group is seeking a Housekeeping Supervisor to oversee housekeeping and laundry operations at a large, multi-use property. You will schedule staff, evaluate equipment, and assist in budgeting while maintaining high standards of cleanliness and guest satisfaction.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum of 4 years’ experience in all aspects of Housekeeping in a large, multi-use facility required.
• Minimum of 2 years supervisory experience.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Must be flexible with working nights, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Supervise housekeeping and laundry staff: hiring recommendations, terminations, disciplinary action, evaluations, training and development.
• Schedule staff according to labor standards and forecasted occupancy.
• Manage contract labor relationships and training for contract staff.
• Evaluate equipment and arrange repairs or replacements with other managers.
• Assist General Manager in annual department budget development and monitoring.
• Maintain room quality and cleanliness across rooms, storage, laundry, restrooms and public areas.
• Compile and report accurate status of guest rooms to front office.
• Oversee all housekeeping duties and maintain productivity and labor cost goals.
• Establish and maintain cost control systems for staffing, linen inventories and cleaning supplies.
• Conduct inventories of linen, supplies and equipment and order as needed.
• Ensure quality services and satisfactory guest relations, including audits and improvements.
