Job summary

Wake Forest University is seeking a Hotel Housekeeping Inspector to support the Rooms Operation in Graylyn. The role acts as a deputy to the Housekeeping Coordinator, leads inspections, and serves as the trainer for new hires while assisting with cleaning rooms as demand requires.

Applicants should have a high school diploma or GED, strong communication and time management skills, and the ability to follow safety policies.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Ability to work from ladders.
• Ability to meet the University's automobile insurance requirements.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and time management skills.
• Ability to read, understand and abide by safety policies and procedures.
• Ability to maintain effective customer relations.
• Ability to work any assigned shift/work schedule.

Responsibilities

• Inspect rooms and communicate housekeeping needs.
• Use task sheets to manage time and workflow.
• Lead the housekeeping team in the absence of the Coordinator.
• Train new hires as directed by the Coordinator.
• Clean rooms as needed.
• Report mechanical needs and repairs to the Supervisor.
• Perform other duties as required by leadership.
