Job summary

Harmony Senior Services is seeking a Lead Housekeeper in Morgantown, WV to oversee daily housekeeping operations in a senior living community. You will supervise staff, develop schedules, and ensure cleanliness of common areas and resident apartments.

The role requires leadership experience, attention to detail, and the ability to coach a team while maintaining resident privacy and safety. A flexible schedule including weekends and holidays is expected.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Housekeeping experience with leadership background preferred.
• Ability to coach and direct housekeeping staff.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
• Ability to understand verbal and written instructions.
• Willingness to work as part of a team.
• Must be able to stand, walk, kneel, bend, lift up to 25 lbs, and work flexible schedules.

Responsibilities

• Provide supervision and training for housekeeping staff daily.
• Complete housekeeping work schedules.
• Assist with finding coverage for staff call-outs.
• Oversee cleaning of the entire facility, emphasizing common areas and apartment bathrooms.
• Complete maintenance request reports when needed.
• Report deterioration or damage to the building and furnishings to the Housekeeping Supervisor.
• Operate laundry equipment when needed.
• Report inadequate quantities of supplies to the Maintenance Director.
• Use only approved cleaning products and store supplies properly.
• Clean office areas when assigned.
• Dust and clean all window blinds, furniture, shelves, and surfaces.
• Vacuum common areas and resident apartments.
• Maintain cleanliness of common areas and resident bathrooms.
• Attend required in-services and staff meetings.
• Maintain resident privacy and confidentiality and follow policies on release of resident information.
