LAUKOA seeks a Housekeeper Lead to manage daily dormitory cleaning operations at the FLETC facility in Charleston, SC. You will supervise routine cleaning, inspect rooms for compliance with PWS, and ensure a welcoming, safe environment for students and staff.

Responsibilities include preparing rooms, disinfecting spaces, restocking supplies, and leading room inspections. Requires 6+ months of housekeeping experience and ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Full-time schedule with 07:30–16:30 shifts.

• Minimum 6 months of housekeeping or custodial experience.
• Must be physically capable of lifting up to 50 lbs, bending, standing, and repetitive motions.
• Must pass background screening and meet DHS/FLETC access requirements.

• Make beds in occupied rooms if able.

• Notify dorm clerks or supervisors of maintenance issues or supply needs.
• Maintain supply carts, follow cleaning routes, and adhere to safety protocols.
• Turn in reports as required by managers.
• Lead inspections to pass or fail rooms and ensure compliance with PWS.

Job Summary

Performs routine cleaning and sanitation duties in FLETC dormitories, ensuring rooms and common areas are kept to cleanliness and hygiene standards. Supports a welcoming and safe environment for students and staff through consistent housekeeping services. Inspects room areas and ensure they are in compliance with PWS requirements.

• Clean rooms after departure of outgoing students.
• Clean and disinfect dormitory rooms, restrooms, and shared common areas.
• Change bed linens, restock toiletries, and empty trash bins.
• Make beds in occupied rooms if able to.
• Vacuum, mop, dust, and sanitize surfaces according to schedule.
• Notify dorm clerks or supervisors of maintenance issues or supply needs.
• Maintain supply carts, follow assigned cleaning routes, and adhere to safety protocols.
• Do not move students' personal items.
  • If any services are not able to be performed due to personal items being in the way, leave a note stating such (note template is provided by company)
• Turn in reports as required by managers.
• Full-time employees are expected to clean up to 20+ rooms per day.
• As lead, inspect room areas after completion and ensure they are in compliance with PWS. Responsible to "pass" or "fail" rooms.

Schedule

• Full-Time: regular scheduled hours will be 07:30 - 16:30
  • Emergency room turnovers may arise as determined by the dormitory forecast and would result in altered hours as scheduled by the manager.
  • Work schedules are determined by management and may be modified at any time based on business needs, contractual obligations, and operational requirements.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 months of housekeeping or custodial experience, preferably in a dormitory, hotel, or institutional setting.
• Familiarity with cleaning products and safe handling procedures.
• Must be physically capable of lifting up to 50 lbs, bending, standing, and performing repetitive motions.
• Reliable attendance and ability to follow detailed instructions.
• Must pass background screening and meet all FLETC access and conduct requirements.
• This position may require the operation of Company-provided vehicles.
  • If operating Company-provided vehicles, maintaining a valid driver's license in good standing is a condition of employment.
  • If operating Company-provided vehicles, employee must comply with all Company vehicle use and safety policies, as well as all applicable traffic laws.
  • If operating Company-provided vehicles, the Company may review your motor vehicle record (MVR), as permitted by law, to verify eligibility to operate Company vehicles.
  • If operating Company-provided vehicles, you must immediately notify the Company if your driver's license is suspended, revoked, restricted, expires, or if your driving privileges otherwise change.

Additional Requirements

• Must be eligible for DHS background investigation and suitability clearance.
• Must be a U.S. citizen or lawful permanent resident with work authorization.
