Job summary

Aloft Jacksonville is seeking a Chief Maintenance Engineer to oversee maintenance operations, ensure preventative maintenance programs, and uphold brand standards for all rooms and public spaces. Responsibilities include coordinating with the General Manager, managing safety protocols, and leading maintenance staff to deliver reliable service.

Ideal candidates will have strong troubleshooting skills, HVAC and electrical expertise, and a proven track record in hotel maintenance.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of related hotel engineering/maintenance experience.
• Ability to perform mid-level troubleshooting of mechanical, electrical systems, and equipment.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement and modify preventive maintenance programs for the property, grounds and equipment.
• Establish maintenance schedules and prioritize repairs to minimize disruption.
• Ensure prompt, professional maintenance service for guests and staff.
• Maintain equipment inventories and coordinate with GM on ordering.
• Monitor and test emergency and security systems and procedures.
• Conduct daily inspections to meet brand standards for property and rooms.
• Keep thorough records of plant and equipment maintenance and repairs.
• Prepare reports for Housekeeping and General Manager.
• Communicate maintenance status to GM/owners/department heads.
• Aim for high quality service and achievement of financial goals.
