State College Holiday Inn by IHG in State College, PA on-site is seeking a Chief Engineer to lead the hotel's engineering team, manage preventive maintenance, and ensure safe, efficient operation of HVAC, plumbing, electrical and related systems.

The role requires supervising staff, coordinating with Rooms Division, enforcing safety codes, and handling emergency repairs while maintaining budgets and driving hotel standards.

Qualifications

• Must communicate with guests, management and staff clearly.
• Experience supervising hotel engineering teams preferred.
• Knowledge of safety procedures and compliance required.
• Ability to read and interpret maintenance documents and codes.

Responsibilities

• Oversee engineering department operations, preventive maintenance and repairs.
• Lead safety program, inspections, and chemical handling procedures.
• Supervise, hire, train, and evaluate engineering staff.
• Coordinate with Rooms Division and manage budget responsibilities.
