Job summary

First Hospitality is seeking a Chief Engineer for a Homewood Suites by Hilton Milwaukee Downtown property. The role leads the hotel’s engineering team, ensuring proactive upkeep of building systems, equipment, and guestrooms to meet safety and quality standards.

The Chief Engineer will oversee preventative maintenance, coordinate with contractors, and ensure timely response to guest and operations requests while maintaining professional standards in line with the brand.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of maintenance or engineering experience in a hotel or similar facility
• High School diploma or equivalency required
• Electrical and/or plumbing certification preferred
• Valid driver’s license may be required

Responsibilities

• Proactively maintain the building, systems, and equipment; coordinate with contractors as needed
• Oversee grounds and custodial work when required
• Perform repairs including plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and painting
• Prioritize repairs to minimize guest impact
• Communicate with hotel departments to handle maintenance requests
• Lead and develop the engineering team and staff
