Job summary

First Hospitality is seeking a Chief Engineer to lead the maintenance of its hotel portfolio, ensuring safe, reliable building systems and guestrooms. You will guide the engineering team, coordinate preventive maintenance, and respond to guest and operation needs with professionalism.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of maintenance or engineering experience, preferably in a hotel or similar facility.
• Electrical and/or plumbing certification preferred
• Valid driver’s license may be required

Responsibilities

• Proactively maintain the physical building structure, building systems, and equipment by performing preventative and routine maintenance.
• Ensure completion of grounds and custodial work as needed.
• Use tools and other power equipment, following safety guidelines to ensure safety of self and others.
• Complete needed repairs including plumbing, painting, carpentry, sheetrock, and electrical work with safety and quality standards.
• Prioritize repairs or maintenance that may inconvenience guests.
• Communicate with hotel departments to ensure timely response and completion of maintenance needs.
• Train, instruct, and support the hotel’s engineering team.
• Know and communicate hotel emergency procedures; assist guests and operations in emergencies.
