Job summary

Tao Group Hospitality is seeking a Lead Host in New York, NY. The role oversees the Level 5 podium operations, coordinates guest arrivals, reservations, and communication with the Maître D’ upstairs.

You will work to ensure seamless coordination between the podium and dining room and lead by example with a hospitable attitude. Responsibilities include greeting guests, guiding seating, answering questions, and supporting the front desk and management during opening/closing procedures.

Qualifications

• Previous host experience preferred.
• Experience in a high-volume restaurant/nightclub/lounge.
• Tao Group Hospitality in-venue host person training will be provided.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests and guide to appropriate table as directed by the Maitre D’.
• Manage guest flow and handle phone and reservation communications.
• Coordinate between podium and dining room; step in as acting Maître D’ when needed.
