Job summary

Waste Management (WM) is seeking a Lead Hospital Services Technician to travel between Houston-area customer facilities, proactively collecting and exchanging waste containers for Stericycle programs. The Lead provides guidance and training to technicians, serving as the primary on-site contact for customers and ensuring service schedules are met.

The role requires on-site presence, strong communication skills, and a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• On-site presence at WM customer locations and compliance with mandatory immunization requirements imposed by such customers.
• 2 years industry related experience in a customer service capacity preferred, or equivalent in related work experience.
• Driver's License required.

Responsibilities

• Travels between customer healthcare facilities to proactively monitor, collect, and exchange waste containers for Stericycle programs and services.
• In absence of Service Supervisor, leads Hospital Services Technicians, trains, coaches and provides guidance.
• Acts as primary on-site contact for the customer and ensures service expectations are met or exceeded.
• May travel to customers in assigned area to proactively resolve customer service questions and issues.
• Maintains a rigid collection and service schedule; may assist with installs as required.
• Communicates duty status on a defined schedule.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
