UH Truman Medical Center is seeking a Senior Environmental Services Technician to lead the housekeeping crew on the 3:00 PM – 11:30 PM shift. You’ll ensure hospital-grade cleanliness, safety, and infection control while guiding a small team.

You bring leadership, training and strong communication, plus the ability to operate floor machines and cleaning equipment. This full-time role emphasizes hands-on work and maintaining a sanitary environment for patients and staff.

Qualifications

• Requires High School Diploma or GED.
• At least 1 year in housekeeping, healthcare exposure a plus.
• Ability to operate floor machines, vacuums and cleaning equipment.
• Understand safe use of cleaning products on different surfaces.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Be the point person on your shift, directing the housekeeping crew.
• Train and mentor new team members to high standards.
• Ensure cleaning tasks are completed on time to hospital-grade standards.
• Monitor safety, infection control, and overall cleanliness.
• Lead by example and actively assist when needed.
• Communicate with staff, patients, and visitors with a respectful attitude.
• Know cleaning gear and how to use it properly.
• Read labels and safety instructions for cleaning products.
