Job summary

Qualifications

• Two years experience in a hospital food service department.
• Must be able to use Office Suite…Word, Excel, Powerpoint
• Basic computer skills desired.
• Must demonstrate commitment and adherence to STHS’s Compliance Program and Code of Conduct through compliance with all policies and procedures, the Code of Conduct, attendance at required training and immediately reporting suspected compliance issue(s) to the Compliance Officer.

Responsibilities

• Must be familiar with operation of food service equipment and sanitation standards.
• Ensure patients receive proper and accurate meals and uphold departmental policies.
• Coordinate with cooks, dietitian and staff to manage food service activities.
• Schedule, orient and train new employees; interview, coach and counsel staff.
• Complete employee evaluations within required time frames.
• Maintain overall kitchen cleanliness and safety practices.
• Provide in-services to staff and address accidents or safety issues.
• Communicate with the Food Service Director.
