Job summary

Alameda Health System is seeking an AHD Cook PB to prepare, cook, and dispense food in quantity within a hospital kitchen. The role includes catering duties, maintaining equipment, and ensuring high standards of safety and sanitation.

Qualifications

• Minimum experience: One year as Assistant Cook at Alameda Health System or two years in quantity cooking for 200+ meals in an institutional setting.

Responsibilities

• Carves meat for serving and oversees tray line distribution to ensure prompt service.
• Cleans utensils and equipment and maintains safe, sanitary work areas.
• Cooks meat, fish, vegetables, soups, cereals and other foods using large kitchen equipment.
• Delivers food to various locations promptly and safely.
• Prepares salads and desserts for cafeteria, patients and catering.
• Relieves other cooks for breaks and may act as Lead Cook on relief or training basis.
