Job summary

Presbyterian Healthcare Services seeks a qualified Cook III for the Kaseman Hospital location in Albuquerque. The role focuses on preparing hot and cold items, following menus and recipes, and supporting retail and Grab & Go operations.

Responsibilities include line cooking, portioning, and assisting with staff training while maintaining safety and quality standards in a fast-paced setting.

Qualifications

• High School/GED preferred.
• Five to ten years experience in high volume preparation and cooking in a hotel, restaurant, cafeteria, catering firm, government, or private institution.
• Or internal candidate that demonstrates competency in all shifts in the kitchen and as a shift charge person.

Responsibilities

• Prepare hot food items for the next day as indicated by menu cycle.
• Fruit and vegetable preparation, food portioning, and other bulk food preparation.
• Prepare Grab and Go and other retail items.
• Routine cleaning and sanitation of all areas.
• Assist with serving food items as indicated by established workflow.
• Utilize flat-top grill, convection oven, tilt skillet, steamers, and stand mixer.
• Must be able to follow recipes for cooking and baking.
• Prepare food using various cooking methods, including pan frying, sauteing, boiling, grilling, baking/roasting, simmering, steaming, braising, stewing, blanching, and poaching.
