Responsibilities

• Perform essential functions of a certified coder in HIM.
• Serve as expert coder within coding service line and mentor staff.
• Lead and support department initiatives and management efforts.
• Assist leadership in staff orientation and training.
• Conduct peer reviews and ensure coding accuracy.
• Collaborate with supervisor on meetings and performance benchmarks.
• Support annual budgeting and financial analysis for the department.
• Create and maintain department policies and procedures.
