South Carolina Department of Transportation is seeking a skilled maintenance crew lead to supervise sign installation and inventory management. You will operate heavy equipment, set up traffic control, and ensure safety during all activities on interstates and secondary routes.

The role requires a valid CDL Class A within six months and at least two years of related experience. You will train, document daily work, and potentially cover foreman duties in their absence.

Formación

• Two (2) years of related work experience.
• Valid motor vehicle operator’s license is required.
• CDL Class A must be attained within six (6) months of placement.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in variable weather.

Responsabilidades

• Lead sign crew; manage inventory and installation.
• Operate equipment: tandem dump truck, backhoe, grader.
• Set up traffic control per SCMUTCD standards.
• Enter time and maintain maintenance records.
• Perform safety checks and daily equipment maintenance.
• Assume foreman duties in absence; schedule work.
