Job summary

Dashiell is seeking a Senior Technician to perform electrical testing, maintenance, and start‑ups of high voltage substations at Port Arthur, TX. The role includes leading crews, interfacing with clients, and ensuring strict safety practices on each job.

Qualified candidates will have extensive HV substation experience, a related degree or diploma, and the ability to travel up to 50%. Proactive reporting and strong communication are essential to success in this position.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent required.
Associates or Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering Technology preferred.
Minimum ten plus years of electrical testing, maintenance, and start-up of high voltage substations.
Must have a valid driver’s license with clean driving record and TWIC card.
Ability to travel up to 50%.

Responsibilities

Perform electrical testing services on power apparatus, substations, and switchgear (protective relays, circuit breakers, transformers, meters, and more).
Perform troubleshooting and problem identification and analysis; provide corrective action recommendations.
Generate technical reports detailing services provided, problems found, and actions taken or recommended.
Represent the company professionally when interfacing with clients.
Coordinate scheduling of manpower and equipment with management; maintain safety as a top priority; conduct safety meetings and JSTAs.
