Nederman Corporation is seeking a Senior Applications Engineer – High Vacuum Solutions in the U.S. division, based in Charlotte, NC.

The role leads technical applications for high-vacuum extraction and source-capture projects, from customer requirements to on-site integration. The ideal candidate has 8–10+ years in related engineering roles, strong knowledge of industrial ventilation and high-vacuum systems, and the ability to translate customer needs into practical, cost-effective designs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 8–10+ years in applications or solutions engineering for high-vacuum systems.
• Advanced knowledge of industrial ventilation and source capture.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD/Autodesk design software and Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Lead technical applications for high-vacuum extraction and source-capture projects from requirements to final integration.
• Collaborate with Sales, Product Management, Engineering, and Project Management to define technical needs and system design.
• Prepare solutions concepts, sales proposals, and quotations using engineering tools.
• Define technical requirements, budgets, and timelines with cross-functional teams.
• Provide technical leadership during site evaluations, commissioning, and customer acceptance.
