Job summary

Air Products is seeking a Site Supervisor for the Liberal Helium Facility in Liberal, KS. This front-line leadership role will guide operations and maintenance teams to safely and reliably run two Helium Plants and the Air Separation Unit, coordinating with engineering, logistics, and regulatory teams.

You will drive safety culture, manage performance, and lead continuous improvement initiatives in a 24/7 manufacturing setting, reporting to the Site Manager in a dynamic industrial environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Supervisory or leadership experience in industrial manufacturing, chemical, gas processing, cryogenic, or related environment.
• Cryogenic plant operation experience preferred.
• Valid driver's license and ability to work in an industrial plant environment.
• Experience leading safety, operational, and maintenance teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead and promote a strong safety culture and engage employees in safety programs.
• Ensure compliance with all regulations (environmental, health, safety, etc.).
• Provide leadership, coaching, training, and performance management for operations and maintenance personnel.
• Support safe and efficient operation of two Helium Plants and the Air Separation Unit.
• Coordinate daily operational activities to ensure reliable production and deliveries.
• Identify issues, develop corrective actions, and drive preventive maintenance improvements.
• Lead MOC activities, including procedure development and implementation.
• Support plant reliability initiatives with regional maintenance and technical support teams.
• Drive continuous improvement projects focused on productivity, reliability, cost reduction, and excellence.
• Interface with engineering, logistics, maintenance, contractors, regulatory agencies, and other support organizations.
• Participate in start-up, commissioning, expansion, and capital project activities.
• Provide on-call support in a 24/7 manufacturing environment.
