Job summary

Barnhart in Memphis, TN is seeking a Heavy Haul Foreman to lead field crews, coordinate oversize and specialized loads, and ensure safe, efficient execution of complex transportation projects.

You will oversee daily plans, equipment utilization, and schedules, working with project leadership to address challenges and maintain safety. This full-time role offers growth within a nationally recognized heavy transport company.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in heavy haul, transportation, construction, rigging, or heavy equipment operations.
• Previous leadership, crew lead, or foreman experience.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to coordinate personnel, equipment, and schedules in a fast-paced environment.
• Flexibility and willingness to travel frequently
• CDL-A, or ability to obtain

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise crews supporting heavy haul and specialized transportation operations.
• Coordinate the movement of over-dimensional and super loads, ensuring projects are completed safely and efficiently.
• Plan and oversee daily work activities, manpower needs, equipment utilization, and project schedules.
• Work closely with project leadership to identify and resolve operational challenges that impact productivity or scheduling.
• Support loading, transporting, unloading, and positioning of heavy components and equipment.
• Conduct inspections and ensure all transportation equipment, trailers, and securement systems are operating safely and effectively.
• Lead daily planning meetings and communicate expectations, work plans, and safety requirements to crews.
• Maintain project documentation, inspections, and compliance requirements throughout each transport operation.
