Job summary

Republic Services is seeking a Maintenance Lead Technician to lead a team of technicians in maintaining heavy-duty trucks and refuse bodies, with emphasis on safety and regulatory compliance.

The position covers diagnosis of complex issues, coaching on diagnostics, and scheduling repairs to minimize downtime. A minimum of 3 years on heavy trucks and safety-focused experience is required.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in a role with OSHA Haz Com, Lock Out Tag Out, and fire protection compliance.
• 1+ year of supervisory or lead technician experience is a plus.
• ASE Heavy Truck Certifications are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Repair and maintain chassis and refuse bodies (hydraulic, electrical, HVAC).
• Diagnose complex issues and coach technicians on diagnostics.
• Plan and schedule repairs to minimize downtime and ensure safety.
• Inspect third-party repairs for compliance with safety procedures and regulations.
• Mentor technicians and lead a work group.
• Perform line welding and fabrication as needed.
