Job summary

Overland Contracting Inc is seeking an Operator Equipment - Foreman to lead and supervise the operation of power construction equipment on critical infrastructure projects. You will plan, coordinate, and motivate a crew of craft workers to complete work safely and efficiently.

The role demands strong leadership, extensive NCCER certifications, and a commitment to safety, quality, and schedule adherence across diverse sites.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience working as a heavy equipment operator and strong knowledge of operating and rigging crafts.
  • Commercial driver's license is required when equipment is operated on public roads.
  • Must be at least 18 years old and pass pre-employment checks and onboarding.
  • Demonstrated leadership to set safety, quality and productivity standards.

Responsibilities

  • Direct and supervise operation of power construction equipment on projects.
  • Plan, lead, and coordinate lead men and craft workers for safe, efficient work.
  • Support safety processes, aim for zero injuries, and enforce pre-job safety planning.
  • Ensure crews meet schedules, man-hour targets and quality requirements.
  • Review accidents, conduct investigations, and implement corrective actions.
