Job summary

Arcosa Aggregates is seeking a Heavy Equipment Mechanic Lead for its Canal Point, FL plant. You will diagnose, repair, and maintain heavy equipment, ensuring safety compliance and efficient workflow while guiding a maintenance team.

Requirements include extensive heavy equipment knowledge, ability to read manuals and work orders, strong computer skills, and at least 4–5 years of mining equipment experience. Physical work in varied outdoor conditions is expected.

Qualifications

• Extensive knowledge of heavy equipment and repair.
• Ability to read service/repair manuals and work orders.
• Strong computer skills and proficiency with standard software.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
• Excellent organizational skills to manage multiple projects.
• Positive, team-based attitude and reliable attendance.
• 4–5+ years of experience on heavy mobile equipment, preferably in mining environments.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, inspect, recondition, repair, assemble and service equipment as directed by supervisor.
• Maintain clean work area and properly care for tools, machines and equipment.
• Follow MSHA safety rules and company policies.
• Perform duties in a professional, efficient manner as assigned by management.
• Keep maintenance records up-to-date and ensure timely repairs.
• Maintain steady workflow and ensure safety and quality of assets.
• Oversee documentation of machine information and repairs, including parts and fluids.
• Troubleshoot equipment issues and communicate with management; serve as a team leader.
• Promote safety and continuous improvement through proactive recognition.
• Perform any other duties as assigned.
