Job summary

Jobot is seeking a Heavy Civil Superintendent to lead field operations on major infrastructure projects in the Kansas City area. The role requires 7+ years of superintendent or field leadership experience in heavy civil construction and a strong ability to manage multi-trade teams, safety, and schedule adherence.

You will coordinate with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors, read drawings and contracts, ensure OSHA compliance, and travel to project sites as needed.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of Superintendent or field leadership experience in heavy civil construction.
• Experience supervising roadway, highway, bridge, underground utility, grading, earthwork, paving, or transportation projects.
• Strong understanding of heavy civil construction methods, sequencing, equipment, and productivity.
• Experience managing field operations from startup through final completion.
• Coordinate and supervise subcontractors, vendors, equipment, and self-perform crews.
• Experience on DOT/public infrastructure projects preferred.
• Read and interpret drawings, specifications, contracts, and project schedules.
• OSHA knowledge and a commitment to safe, compliant job sites.
• Lead daily planning and safety meetings; coordinate multiple trades.
• Identify field issues and implement solutions to minimize schedule impacts.
• Maintain schedules with quality workmanship and cost control.
• Strong communication and leadership with owners, inspectors, engineers, subs, and teams.
• Document daily reports, production, inspections, and progress.
• Proficient with scheduling software and MS Office.
• Willingness to travel to project sites; valid driver’s license.
