Job summary

Tucker Paving, Inc. is actively seeking an experienced Heavy Civil Site Superintendent to lead field operations for site development projects in Winter Haven, FL. You will supervise crews and subcontractors, coordinate equipment and materials, and ensure safety and quality standards are met.

Strong leadership and project coordination skills are essential. Experience in earthwork, grading, underground utilities, paving, and related heavy civil activities is highly preferred; OSHA safety protocols

Qualifications

3–5 years of heavy civil construction experience, including supervision of field crews.
Ability to read and understand construction plans, instructions, and project-related documentation.
OSHA 30 certification preferred but not required.
Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record.
Experience with GPS and machine-control technology preferred.

Responsibilities

Supervise and coordinate work activities performed by Tucker Paving employees and subcontractors.
Serve as backup to the General Superintendent as the OSHA Competent Person and communicate applicable safety regulations.
Maintain proficiency with GPS machine-controlled systems on heavy equipment, where applicable.
Identify and correct unsafe conditions and assist with jobsite inspections and corrective actions.
Oversee labor management, productivity, and quality control on assigned projects.
Maintain time, material, production, and other records to support daily job costing.
