Job summary

Georgia Development Partners, a 100% employee-owned company based in Atlanta, GA, is hiring an experienced Estimator to lead site development bids from plan review through final submission. The role focuses on grading, earthwork, utilities, and flat work, partnering with leadership to optimize profitability and win regional work.

The ideal candidate has 5–10 years of estimating heavy civil and site development projects, with a Civil Engineering or Construction Management background preferred.

Qualifications

• 5–10 years estimating heavy civil and full site development projects.
• Civil Engineering or Construction Management degree preferred; equivalent field experience considered.
• Strong proficiency with AGTEK, HCSS HeavyBid, OST and related takeoff/estimating tools.
• Knowledge of Atlanta-area subcontractors, suppliers, and municipal civil codes a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead Bids: Manage complete proposals from takeoff to final package submission.
• Prepare Takeoffs: Assess accurate grading, earthwork, utility, and flat work quantities.
• Models: Build detailed dirt models using AGTEK for accurate earthwork quantity calculations.
• Develop Pricing: Substantiate production rates, labor needs, and equipment allocations.
• Coordinate Vendors: Solicit, compare, and negotiate subcontractor and supplier quotes.
• Value Engineer: Review plans, soils reports, and project risks to identify savings.
