Job summary

Excellere Construction, LLC is seeking a Senior Project Manager with heavy road-highway construction and multi-use trail experience to lead complex civil projects in Georgia. You will work under a Georgia-registered PE, overseeing schedules, budgets, and field quality from planning to bid and execution.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years of project management in road infrastructure, proficiency in MS Project and Bluebeam/AutoCAD, and the ability to read technical drawings.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management (MANDATORY).
• Over 5 years of experience managing road infrastructure projects.
• Proficient in MS Project & Bluebeam/AutoCAD.
• Ability to read and interpret construction documents and drawings.
• Good interpersonal and written communication skills.
• Exceptional problem-solving and decision-making skills.
• Must be detail-oriented, organized and meet stringent deadlines.
• Passed the EIT exam is a big plus.

Responsibilities

• Plan all construction operations.
• Develop and maintain project schedules, ensuring deadlines are met.
• Conduct regular site visits to inspect work progress and quality control.
• Prepare subcontractor agreements for sub-contractors.
• Monitor project progress and ensure adherence to budgetary guidelines.
• Prepare Request for Information as needed.
• Prepare pay applications/invoices.
• Review and approve invoices from subcontractors and suppliers.
• Locate and research public bid offerings for potential projects that are ideal for the company.
• Interpret drawings and technical documents to prepare estimates.
• Complete bid take-offs by estimating material, equipment and labor quantities.
• Unit price cost analysis.
• Negotiate with subcontractors and suppliers.
• Maintain and update construction-related material price databases.
• Coordinate to prepare bid proposal packages.
• Prepare estimate summaries for bids and complete bid documents.
• Attend bid openings and review post-bid information to ensure scopes of work are correct and accurate.
