Job summary

CMES, Inc. is seeking a seasoned Heavy Civil Estimator to lead the bid process for DOT/highway projects in Norcross, GA. The role requires evaluating plans, specs, and bid documents, developing cost proposals, and coordinating with subcontractors, suppliers, and operations teams.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years of heavy civil estimating experience, GDOT/DOT project knowledge, and strong analytical skills. Knowledge of Bluebeam, HCSS HeavyBid, Bid2Win, AGTEK, and Microsoft Office is preferred.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of estimating experience in Heavy Civil or Highway Construction
• Experience bidding DOT, GDOT, municipal, or other public infrastructure projects
• Strong understanding of Earthwork, Roadway Construction, Utilities, Concrete, Bridges, Traffic Control
• Ability to interpret construction plans, specifications, and contract documents
• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or related field preferred

Responsibilities

• Lead estimating and bid preparation from bid review through handoff
• Develop accurate labor, equipment, material, and subcontractor pricing
• Analyze bid risks, production rates, and project logistics
• Coordinate subcontractor and supplier pricing
• Work closely with Operations, Project Managers, Superintendents, and Project Engineers
