Kingsbury Companies, LLC in Middlesex, VT is seeking a Construction Estimator – Lead Precision Heavy Civil Cost Modeling & Bidding to translate complex civil designs into accurate cost models and drive preconstruction analysis.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management, 5+ years of heavy civil estimating experience, proficiency with civil estimating tools and CAD, and strong vendor negotiation and presentation skills.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
Minimum of 5 years in heavy civil/industrial estimating.
Experience with water/wastewater, dams, or renewable energy projects.
Proficient with civil estimating tools and reading complex specs.
Valid driver's license and ability to travel.

Responsibilities

Analyze geotechnical reports, topographical surveys, and drawings to define project scopes.
Develop detailed quantity takeoffs and multi-variable cost models.
Formulate bidding strategies and assess risk with contingencies.
Evaluate subcontractor bids, negotiate vendor pricing, and budget labor/materials.
Drive value engineering during design-build to optimize costs.
Conduct site visits and integrate findings into estimates.
Present persuasive bid reviews and client discussions.
