Job summary

Kingsbury Companies, LLC is seeking a Construction Estimator – Lead Precision Heavy Civil Cost Modeling & Bidding to transform complex project data into accurate cost models. You will lead preconstruction efforts, guide risk management, and set the financial baseline for major infrastructure builds on site in Middlesex, VT.

Requirements include a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management and 5+ years of heavy civil estimating, with proficiency in civil estimating tools

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or closely related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of heavy civil or industrial construction estimating experience.
• Experience with water/wastewater, dam, industrial plant, or renewable energy projects.
• Proficiency in civil estimating tools, CAD software, and reading complex designs.
• Strong written and verbal communication for vendor negotiations and leadership.

Responsibilities

• Analyze geotechnical reports, topographical surveys, and drawings to define project scopes.
• Develop quantity takeoffs and multi-variable cost models using civil estimating tools.
• Formulate bidding strategies and identify risk factors and contingencies.
• Evaluate subcontractor quotes, negotiate pricing, and set labor/material budgets.
• Drive value engineering during design-build phases to optimize costs.
• Conduct site visits and integrate findings into estimate models.
• Deliver persuasive bid presentations for reviews and client discussions.
