Job summary

A leading civil contractor in San Antonio is seeking an experienced Construction Estimator to support bidding and preconstruction efforts. The role involves analyzing project documents, preparing quantity takeoffs, and developing competitive bids. Candidates should have a degree in a related field, proficiency in Microsoft Office, and at least 5 years of construction estimating experience. Qualifications

• Experience estimating in a similar role (heavy civil for Commercial/Industrial projects).
• 5+ years of construction estimating experience preferred.
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Review plans, specifications, schedules, and bid documents.
• Perform quantity takeoffs and review cut/fill maps.
• Analyze site conditions and historical cost data.
• Coordinate subcontractor quotes and ensure full scope coverage.
• Submit RFIs and incorporate addenda and revisions.
• Collaborate with Business Development and the Head of Estimating.
