Job summary

Keeley Construction in New Braunfels, TX, is seeking a Senior Estimator for our Heavy Civil Group. You will lead estimates, coordinate cost analyses, review trade takeoffs, and prepare final bids for owner submission.

The role requires a Bachelor's in Construction Management or Engineering and 5–7 years of heavy civil experience, with proficiency in estimating software and MS Office. You will build relationships with subcontractors and vendors while maintaining high-volume bid capabilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field.
• Experience with heavy civil construction projects.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership for estimates and proposals including cost analysis, estimate coordination, and development/review of trade takeoffs and internal pricing.
• Oversee all capital bids before submission.
• Delegate new customer opportunities within estimating team.
• Evaluate subcontract cost estimates and proposals, as well as preparing/reviewing self-perform estimates, and assembling final estimate for owner.
• Drive and maintain all National Opportunities Reporting.
• Perform productivity analysis of cost estimates, comparisons of scope, quantities, and cost data between projects.
• Negotiate with and engage in subcontract solicitation during the bidding process and maintain master subcontractor/vendor lists by trade.
• Compare and analyze competitive subcontractor and supplier bids.
• Exceed expectations with excellent customer service, operational excellence, and strategic insight.
• Maintain company quality standards with subcontractors and vendors while performing in a high-volume bid environment.
