Job summary

McMillen, Inc. is seeking a Construction Manager – Heavy Civil to lead large water resources projects, including dams, energy, fisheries, and infrastructure. The role is full-time and requires a proven leader with strong construction and project management skills.

You will oversee schedules, budgets, QA/QC, and contract administration, travel to inland Northwest sites, and mentor resident and field engineers. We value problem solvers, safety, and delivering projects on time and on budget.

Qualifications

  • 10+ years specialized management experience in the construction management of large and complicated civil projects.
  • Proven track record to deliver heavy civil engineering projects on time and within budget.
  • Willingness to travel to project sites within the Inland Northwest.
  • Regular, predictable attendance and ability to work with others.

Responsibilities

  • Lead discussions, meetings, and workshops on large and complex projects.
  • Ensures that all deliverables meet risk management requirements.
  • Plans, creates, and oversees deliverables such as schedules, specifications and budget reports.
  • Implements QA/QC reviews per client requirements and company policy.
  • Leads risk management efforts for complex projects and assignments.
  • Manages aspects of multiple projects with support staff and resources.
  • Acts as project owner's representative with contractors and contract administration duties.
  • Performs constructability, biddability, schedule, and budget reviews.
  • Supports design projects with constructability reviews.
  • Takes on the role of project manager for increasingly larger projects.
  • Shows consistent track record of delivering projects on time and budget.
  • Manages projects with fees up to $50 Million.
