Job summary

McMillen, Inc. seeks a Construction Manager – Heavy Civil to lead large water resources projects, including dams, energy, and infrastructure. This full-time role requires proven leadership in construction and project management for complex civil works.

The successful candidate will oversee schedules, budgets, QA/QC, and contract administration while coordinating with resident and field engineers, and inspectors. Travel to sites is expected as needed.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or relevant work experience
  • 10+ years of specialized management experience in the construction management of large and complicated civil projects
  • Proven track record delivering heavy civil projects on time and within budget
  • Willingness to travel to project sites within the greater Inland Northwest
  • Regular, predictable attendance and ability to work with others

Responsibilities

  • Leads discussions, meetings, and workshops on large and complex projects.
  • Ensures that all deliverables produced by the team meet risk management requirements.
  • Plans, creates, and oversees deliverables such as schedules, specifications and budget reports.
  • Implements and leads QA/QC reviews and risk management for large projects.
  • Leads risk management efforts for complex projects and assignments.
  • Manages aspects of multiple projects with support staff and resources.
  • Manages construction management teams including resident and field engineers and inspectors.
  • Acts as project owner's representative with contractors and handles contract administration duties.
