Job summary

Ford Motor Company is seeking a seasoned Manufacturing Equipment Engineer to lead metallurgical processing equipment specification, supplier management, and end-to-end delivery in a hybrid manufacturing environment. You will drive cost efficiency, ensure quality, and collaborate with engineering, purchasing, and production teams.

The role emphasizes leadership, heavy coordination across functions, and travel during critical installation phases.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Metallurgical, Materials, Mechanical, Production, Industrial Engineering or a related field.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
Experience in supplier management, technical purchasing, and preparation of purchasing specifications (RFQ/ESWP).
Experience in schedule management, budgeting, and financial control of capital (CAPEX) projects.
Knowledge of complex technical drawing interpretation and its application.

Responsibilities

Lead and/or support equipment specification and acquisition for metallurgical processing.
Qualify machines, tools, and processes using FORD tools and statistical methods.
Own the complete equipment delivery lifecycle from design to start-up at production plants.
Manage contracts with suppliers, integrators, and service providers.
Develop and manage timing plans, identify deviations, and lead recovery actions.
