Job summary

Valley Forge & Bolt Mfg is seeking a Heat Treat Operator Lead to oversee heat-treat processes on the production floor. You will operate IQ Batch Furnace equipment, ensure product quality, and supervise junior staff while collaborating with the Heat Treat Supervisor.

Role requires knowledge of heat treating, ability to read blueprints, and a commitment to safety. This is a hands-on leadership position on a production line with room to grow within the department.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of IQ Batch Furnace and heat treating processes required.
• High school diploma or equivalent mandatory.
• Ability to read and interpret technical documents and blueprints.
• Experience supervising others and maintaining accurate records.
• MTI Level II Operator Training completed or in progress.

Responsibilities

• Operate heat treating equipment to harden and temper steel parts.
• Follow procedures to ensure finished product quality.
• Conduct tests to verify parts meet specifications.
• Monitor equipment and maintain a clean, safe workspace.
• Supervise and assist newer team members; train as needed.
• Willing to work in other departments when required.
• Maintain supervision when loads are built and photographed.
