Job summary

Gainwell Technologies is seeking a Principal Application Architect to help lead architectural decisions across complex healthcare software solutions. The role emphasizes delivering high-impact architectures, guiding teams, and collaborating with clients to meet strategic goals.

You will influence technology choices, evaluate new tools, and ensure alignment with enterprise standards while driving improvements across projects.

Qualifications

• Ten or more years of application architecture and/or product development experience.
• Experience with architecture framework methodologies such as TOGAF.
• Leadership skills to guide and mentor the work of less experienced personnel.
• Strong communication skills with customers, support, development and management.
• Background in Health Care Industry, preferably Medicaid.

Responsibilities

• Provides architectural oversight for development of highly complex applications or products.
• Reviews and conducts research, testing, evaluation and documentation of hosting/tools and methodologies.
• Evaluates new technologies and software to determine feasibility and desirability for company products.
• Acts as liaison between third-party vendors and the company for integration of their applications.
• Works with product teams and senior designers to develop architectural requirements for client satisfaction.
• Owns Solutions / Post Sale / Integration of components.
• Typically works on large projects.
• Own Enterprise Architecture Framework and artifacts for accounts.
• Owns technical governance and compliance.
• Owns and leads Architecture Review Board for accounts.
• Own the technical roadmap for account.
• Analyzes data and drives operational improvements.
• Focused on root cause analysis and permanent correction.
• Client facing and shares solutions across accounts.
• Upskills the team.
