Mariposa County invites applications for a Senior Health Record Technician in the Health Services Division. The role involves moderately complex clerical tasks and health record maintenance within electronic health records, with emphasis on accuracy, confidentiality, and regulatory compliance.

You will update patient records, schedule appointments, assist in record transfers to authorized providers, and support QA/QI initiatives while coordinating with medical staff and interdepartmental teams.

Qualifications

• Three years of increasingly responsible clerical, administrative, or medical record maintenance experience.
• OR two years as Health Record Technician or Office Assistant-II in Mariposa County.
• High school diploma or GED; 30 semester or 45 quarter units may substitute.

Responsabilités

• Update and maintain client medical records in the electronic health record.
• Review and verify patient health information for accuracy and compliance.
• Schedule, greet, and direct patients to medical staff; manage appointment calendars.
• Transfer protected health information to authorized providers as needed.
• Provide clerical support for meetings and QA/QI initiatives; lead lower classifications when applicable.
