Job summary

HKS is seeking a Senior Project Architect to lead health facilities design in Fort Worth. You will guide the architectural team, coordinate with PIC/PM, and develop complex implementation documents while ensuring QA/QC and code compliance.

You will drive sustainable design, manage client relationships, present concepts, and oversee production from concept through construction, with strong leadership and communication across disciplines.

Qualifications

• Accredited professional degree in Architecture.
• Architectural Registration is required.
• Health project experience is preferred.
• Typically 15+ years of experience in architecture.
• Sustainable design accreditation is preferred.
• Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, Navisworks and 3D modeling software.
• Experience with Photoshop, Illustrator, SketchUp and InDesign is preferred.
• MS Office Suite proficiency preferred.
• Advanced knowledge of sustainability, codes, QA/QC and accessibility guidelines.
• Strong presentation, organizational and leadership skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects with diplomatic leadership.
• Clear, concise written and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Leads team and project architects in planning work and solving design issues.
• Coordinates with PIC/PM to define plans and production schedules.
• Develops complex implementation documents reflecting design intent.
• Ensures code analysis, zoning compliance, QA/QC and HKS standards.
• Prepares client presentations and communicates design concepts.
• Maintains open client communication and guides project progress.
• Coordinates with PM, clients, agencies, consultants and contractors.
• Attends site visits, meetings and documents minutes as needed.
• Promotes design excellence and sustainable design integration.
